No, I haven't read them but have listened to the whole series on Audiobooks sometime ago..........I think that Roland Deschain is really cool and should have been played by Viggo Mortensen in the film.View attachment 151
I could see him pulling it off, but personally I hope it never goes to the big screen....

Hi Everyone,
I've been lurking in the woods for a while, have liked what I saw so decided to join you all.
Looking forward to further exploring the threads and meeting some new people.
Nice to be here, see you around.:howdy:

...the sheriff arrested me the last time I lurked in the woods...ya think it was the turbo bubble blower and Hamburglar mask???....

Welcome - if you go out in the woods today you're going to get a surprise
If you go out in the woods today you won't believe your eyes!

Glad you decided to come out into the light - enjoy the SKMB! :playful:

Hello and welcome! Other than the obvious King books I liked Boat of a Million Years. its a long book and well written spans many centuries as a group struggle with a unique genetic trait-immortality! unless suffering death by beheading or say a severed limb. The characters deal with all kinds of issues and rejections from their own children as they remain same age and capable of reproducing while their children do not-until but I get ahead of myself -read it for yourself! its even got space travel in it for cryin out loud! How many stories span biblical times through present day and beyond in one book?! its by Poul Anderson-happy reading!
I could say to infinity an beyond...but then you would know what the kiddies are watching on tv this a.m. LOL

Howdy, Bevee. I am from Alabamie. And I don't play a banjo on my knee. I am so much of a misfit. :big_tears:

Welcome aboard! :peace:
You might not play banjo, but you got one helluva college football team there......roll tide......I'd day "Roll Razorbacks" but I already work too hard trying to make people laugh....that's too easy...
