Do you think
Spencer's speech to the jury changed some votes?

Maybe, but Trish's speech was better.LOL

I was pulling for Spencer, and after he left, Kass. I get that she was abrasive but certainly less than Tony. I don't get how she would have gotten 0 votes...she played just as hard as Tony, I thought. *Shrugs*

You have to hand it to Woo for pulling off one of the dumbest moves in Survivor history. Made the ending all but certain, unfortunately. I love a final where you don't know who is going to win. And I think Kass would have gotten a few votes, too CAT.

Not Survivor related really, but

My pick didn't win on American Idol last night either. Have not watched The Amazing Race finale yet, but lost interest a little when the cowboys left. If Brendan and Rachel end up winning that one, I may throw things. :barf:

I can't believe they had to wait A YEAR to find out the outcome.
Spencer would have won if he'd survived to the end, and he made a good argument to Tony to keep him around. I was disappointed when he was ousted. Given that final three, though, I'm not mad that Tony won. Spencer's speech really did sum it up well. For a fan of Survivor, Tony played a solid game. He made a few gaffes, but he played hard and he played to win, and to hell with everything else. He wasn't as offensive as Russell. Woo's young. He's probably kicking himself in the butt with Tae Kwan Do moves, but you have to honor his outlook.

re Kass:
When Kass got to Ponderosa, no one said a word to her. Some wouldn't even look at her. She said to the camera: If I'd've been a man, I would have been seen as a strategic player. Because I'm an older woman, I'm a bitch. They thought I was going to mother them.

Kass is so full of it. I doubt she's even considered the idea that her "strategy" vacuumed and the jury would have voted for ANY female other than her

A YEAR?

hey... in past years, didn't the player voted favorite win like 500k?

My cousin keeps telling me how good Big Brother and The Amazing Race are and I should watch them. I keep telling her I'm afraid to get caught up in another reality show, it took me years to lose my American Idol addiction and Simon had to leave the show before I could lose it lol

Shows I cannot miss other than Survivor are The Walking Dead, Castle, and The 100

I don't watch Big Brother. The Amazing Race is good though. I should have outgrown American Idol by now but I do love watching the changes the contestants go through. I thought most of them this year were just so-so but there were a couple gems!

I saw a preview or something for American Idol and a guy was singing Really good! Did he win?

Another reality game show I try to avoid watching is Face Off. Syfy marathoned it one day and I was glued to the tv... Wouldn't answer the phone, was afraid I'd miss something if I fixed something to eat, etc etc lol

The guy who won is very good but pretty much just one flavor. I wanted the girl to win, she could rock a rock song just as well but also always changed up her songs a bit. And I liked her personality more. He always seemed a bit smug to me, like it was a foregone conclusion he was going to win. Confidence is great...but there is a line there, and he just seemed smug, not merely confident.

Oh :( I don't like smug either. I'm glad its not always the winner who gets the best recording contract :)

I watched Big Brother for a few seasons but grew tired of it. It is so rote formulaic -- there's little room for spontaneity unless they're bickering.

I like The Amazing Race a lot. There's less contention (usually) among the teams, as there's little one team can do to impede another (except for a couple of U-Turns). It's every team for themselves, and random taxi drivers have more impact on the outcome than rival teams.

Alas, Amazing Race is moving to Friday nights next time.
