All the Mad Max movies. BORRRING!!

I really love the Mad Max movies, maybe it is an Aussie thing, I dunno. All that matters is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so yours is fine by me :) !

I also liked Blair Witch, unlike a lot of people it seems.

I don't like Oblivion though. That was just bad (Morgan Freeman was good as always though).

I may be the only person on earth, but I DETEST The Sound of Music and ET. Both are sickeningly sweet and boooooring. I saw ET in the theater when it first came out and I can remember arguing with a friend in the parking lot over how predictable and treacly it was. I think I watched it one other time on TV and found it just as insipid as the first time. As for The Sound of Music, I wish Julie Andrews would fall off one of those mountains she's singing from and that all the kids would follow one after the other! :devilish:
Ugh The Sound of Music. I can't even stomach the commercial NBC has been showing about the Sound of Music musical thingy they have planned and just wishing they would show it already so I don't have to see the commercial anymore. >_>

I love Abe Lincoln, he is my favorite president. I LOVE anything having to do with the Civil War. But that movie they came out with recently a year ago or whenever, 'Abraham Lincoln', That has got to be the most *boring* movie I have ever seen in my life. A guy sitting at a table talking. Yeah ... no. Please don't make me sit through that again LOL

I'm a huge un-fan of Spielberg. Aside from Raiders and Jaws, I can't think of a single movie of his that isn't at best 'meh' to me. Too saccharine, too much formula, and the man has absolutely NO idea how real children act. He sometimes gets inspired performances from actors (Oprah in COLOR PURPLE, Neeson and Finnes in SCHINDLER'S LIST, Day Lewis in LINCOLN), but they ultimately drown in his schmaltz.

I was and continue to be highly disappointed in the "Transformers" movies. I keep anxiously awaiting for the decepticons, ANY OF THEM, to tear Shia Lebouf limb from limb.....slowly And wow, his luck with dating super models in that series is extremely fortunate. That guy has more game than your local wildlife refuge. Just awful movies...

Titanic. Worst movie I've ever had to sit through. I haven't seen that much cheese since...well, ever.....there's "chick flicks"...then there is Titanic....

My favorite part of the movie was when the ship broke apart and killed half the cast.

Does that make me a bad person? :nrvs:

I'd rather they just write out all the people anyway. Less drama, more fighting robots. Less Michael Bay, too.

I agree completely. I almost jumped up and cheered when the ship sunk, mainly because I knew the end of the movie had to be sometime soon after this event. I had to try very hard not run into oncoming traffic after leaving the theater. I think my wife asked for that movie on DVD when it came out just to piss me off. She seemed to want to watch it several times the first few weeks we had the DVD.

The only redeeming feature of the Transformers movies has been having Peter Cullen, the original voice of Optimus Prime, do the voice of Optimus in the movies, but Bay has pretty much ruined my favorite childhood cartoon series....Or maybe it's Shia Lebouf? My son loves the movies but he has a different perspective on them than I do.

I can think of one redeeming quality in Titanic...........well two actually.

They belong to Kate Winslet.

One movie I've sworn to never see is Joaquin Phoenix's new movie "Her". Just watching the previews for this movie makes me wanna hurl...:blarf::blarf:

Joaquin is a good actor, but he seems only capable of doing chick flicks nowadays...

I absolutely loved/hated him in Gladiator. He was so amazing in that part. Every time he came on the screen, my goosebumps curled up into the fetal position.

Here's a dozen to be getting along with:
Forrest Gump - glutinous yarn with a moral heart of utter mendacity
The Strangers - Liv Tyler snivels through boring and unexplained cabin in in the woods invasion
Project X - vile teen "comedy" in which unrepentant protagonist suffers no consequences for anguish and damage inflicted on innocents
That’s My Boy - Adam Sandler does horrible voice in horrible comedy about horrible person
Another Earth - glum morality/character piece which pretends to be science fiction and takes itself far too seriously
The Love Guru - Mike Myers’ mojo fails to work in graceless comedy
Identity Thief - despicable main character put forward as hilarious and lovable
All About Steve - mental illness presented as humour
Sucker Punch - 2 hours of teenage wish-fulfilment video game graphics sit on top of a misogynistic mess
Man Of Steel - many excellent visual and design elements totally negated by malodorous and wilful misreading of main character and his adoptive father
The Paperboy - jumbled lurid melodrama notable for Nicole Kidman urinating on Zac Efron’s face
The Fourth Kind - alien abduction movie which fails in every way possible, starting with credibility
