Yes, I was wondering
where those scratches came from too! Melanie, though, she died holding the egg, and then disappeared or whatever happened, since they didn't find any bones in the hole or anything (which woulda been weird, as the girl was there with them, lol). Then, Julia throws the egg in the lake and out comes Melanie. Curiouser and curiouser...

What I'm wondering is when
when Melanie died...I wonder what was told what happened to her in Chester's Mill? Like what story did Sam, Pauline, and Lyle come up with? Not sure if it's big deal, though LOL

Yeah, I am wondering about
the scratches, too. Is Sam bad? Well, from the first second he appeared in the town, I thought there was something strange about him, but still... I wonder is he planning on killing Julia? After seeing his face in the end of the episode, I think he may... Or, maybe, Barbie will come in and save her?[\spoiler]

Does anyone else have a hard time believing how quickly some things get figured out and resolved? Example:

It seems like as soon as the teacher drew the blood from the dead pig she was back at the lab developing the virus which took about an hour. Next thing you know, Big Jim is at the meeting about ready to do the dirty deed and Julia and Dr. creepy have already figured out the whole plan and exactly where to find Big Jim. Then, when that pans out, they immediately figure out where to find the teacher and are at the church in minutes. Sometimes it all seems so " Scooby Doo" in the speed in which stuff is figured out and quickly thwarted.

I realize that there are a limited amount of shows, so things have to progress rapidly, but sometimes it is almost laughable at how quickly this occurs.

when I saw Sam's shoulder, My first thought was
oh dear, Sam is going to turn into a werewolf :( I immediately dismissed the thought as being contrary to the storyline, but then I thought, the storyline is all over the place, why not throw in a werewolf

While we're at it, if Sam's a werewolf, let's make Julia a vampire (I mean, she already did play one ;;D). The idea^^ seems legit at this point, haha

I think there is definitely something strange about Sam too. I think he might be psycho, course part of my reasoning for that is because in some scenes, he looks a bit like Anthony Perkins lol

I haven't read the dark tower books. Do the doors lead to parallel worlds or alternate timelines or the other side or what?

edit: I'm asking because of the painting of the door.

The doors lead to different "whens" and "wheres." For example in The Drawing of the Three, Roland goes to New York in 1987, 1964 and 1977. Or the door can be an entirely different New York that we are not familiar with. Some things in that New York are the same, while other aspects or not, for example. The doors also lead our world to Roland's world.

Thanks! Kinda like a cross between the Tardis and the vortex in that old tv show Sliders with Jerry O'Connell?

Its probably silly this bothers me but... three or more of the main characters in the series have changed their alignment. SK's characters don't play outside their alignment and that makes them very real.

What characters? :) I'm listening to the audiobook (on like disc 13 out of 30). I can say so far Junior terrifies me and his friends

Things like this ultimately turned me off to the show last year. Its just way too unbelievable the way people act and how things happen. Over and over. It is a giant source of criticism and ridicule you see everywhere on this show. I actually look forward to Tuesdays. I dont watch, but I love reading the (mostly negative/scathing) reviews, how lame the show/plot evolves, and best of all, the comments sections on the reviews.

Stephen King's best skill is putting normal people in extraordinary and/or supernatural situations and we see them act in a believable and relate-able fashion. He and his editor(s) also do their homework so the science that is introduced is mostly passable. You also get true characters like No Bounce, No Play mentioned that stay in an arc that pays off. Jim Rennie for instance was a wealthy blowhard who owns a car dealership with a privileged son that many of us can relate to. The Dome brought out a lot of twisted ideals, but they were true and consistent.

This is in no way, a Stephen King story.

Also
I see a girl who disappeared has returned. I live in a small town, and something like a girl disappearance would be burned into the history, memories, and folklore of everyone in that town and she would be recognized by many.

All good points, which I mostly agree with. Still, somehow I find the show enjoyable to watch.
