I am currently reading Doctor Sleep and wanted to comment/ask question about something that troubles me.

About the baseball glove that is retreived, it probably smells, right ? How can they bring it through customs ???? I would'nt want to answer questions about it :horror:

What do you think ?

...the body that was associated with it, had been there quite some time and Mama Nature had run her course-the worst of the decomp smell would have been absorbed into the ground or evaporated, and between that leeching effect and the smell of leather-I don't think it would've raised any eyebrows, unless for some odd reason an agent decided to wear it on their head....

...yeah, they had to sneak it back....
From which country? I thought the kid was killed and buried in the midwest, somewhere.

I just checked....he was in Iowa. Flying from Iowa to New Hampshire doesn't require leaving the United States. The glove wouldn't have had to go through customs, since it wasn't going into another country. It would only have had to go through the X-ray scan in checked baggage. An old baseball glove wouldn't necessarily raise any eyebrows.

...you are correct of course, I couldn't remember the details, and was to much of a sloth to go looking for it...I was just answering generically....
