News about the character Clara:
Wow. I really thought she was going to stay for a while...that changes everything! Should be interesting who is going to replace her!
Apparently this Danny Pink soldier fella is a new companion who will travel with The Doctor and Clara, and serve as Clara's love interest (much like Rory and Amy). Perhaps when Clara dies or leaves or whatever, he will stay with the Doctor. In that case, they would need another female co-star, as I can't see BBC doing Dr Who without a female companion.

On the subject of Capaldi, I am completely sold. Two episodes in, and he is already my favourite of the newer Doctors, making him my third fav doctor, just ahead of Jon Pertwee and behind Colin (not Tom) Baker and Sylvester McCoy.
Is your partner bi? (Not my business, only curious because of this specific conversation.)
I have a few friends having major issues over the doctor being so old. They felt the previous doctors were "someone they could date". Which I find odd. These are women much closer in age to Capaldi than Tennant or Smith. (That's why I'm curious if the younger doctors are someone your partner might have been interested in dating.)
And honestly, I'd be much more likely to date someone like Capaldi, and he's one of my favourite doctors.
Haven't seen the show, just promos. Might need to take a look.Has anyone watched the new show that follows Doctor Who titled Intruders? John Simm, the actor who last played The Master, stars in it so I'm wondering if its a crossover like Torchwwood.
It took me a while to warm up to McCoy too though.
Makes sense, McCoy was a slapstick clown at first. But later on, damn, he was good. He was very good in Remembrance of the Daleks if I recall correctly.
LISTEN
This week was fabulous. The promo had me thinking "Dr. Who meets Dexter". But the show was more like "Dr. Who meets Dr. Sleep".
