I agree... It ain't right! It's supposed to be a game of strategy, not chance. And, I would really be p'd off if Monica was booted out by chance. I didn't like her at first but she's played a good game!

That's how I feel too. Get voted out for being a chump or blind-sided, but don't leave because you picked the wrong colored rock or whatever......

If there's a tie, the people not involved in the tie vote again. If there's a tie the second time, then the people who weren't involved in the tie have to choose by lottery among themselves. It's a rule that's meant to force a change in the revote. If everyone sticks to their guns, or if TWO people switch their votes, then you end up with this situation, which hasn't been used since Season 4.

I don't understand why the two players who were voted for weren't the ones who had to draw stones.

The Survivor logic is that the threat of being put in the position of being eliminated by a random draw is supposed to entice those who can vote into changing their votes. You could see some of that being hashed out when they were given the choice of coming to a consensus or drawing stones.

I had envisioned all the remaining Survivors being called to a special tribal right at the beginning of the show and the choosing of the rocks by all. I'm happy about them using a method that has only been used once before.

Here, there and everywhere.
What an exciting episode! It looks like they were sandbagging all of the drama for last night. I loved watching Hayden play last night - he is so driven, and his determination to not go quietly completely won me over. I still want Tyson to win, though. It's funny - he's so satanically smooth and sincere, even when you know he's lying.
