Like I am? While I thoroughly enjoyed the writing and the coming-of-age story, I found the last part of the book
a bit disappointing and not at all fitting with the first 3/4 of the book.
And speaking of the ending...
After being very disappointed with Doctor Sleep, I had high hopes for this one. While I do like a lot of Revival, I can't say I love it like I wanted to. Joyland is still my favorite of the current crop of SK books to come out in the last few years. I liked Mr. Mercedes too, but I really don't consider that a typical SK book; I view it and the sequels to come more of a fun side project for SK and his constant readers alike.
So, does anyone else feel like I do about Revival?
basically a corny rehash of the Frankenstein myth
a bit disappointing and not at all fitting with the first 3/4 of the book.
And speaking of the ending...
Giant insects??? Really??? Again??? Aaaaaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!
