1778? The US Constitution was ratified in 1790. Sheezus... don't make this geezer any older then he already is, thank you very much. :)
Yes, I know that. You are operating on the failed Articles of Confederation governmental theory. I shouldn't say that it failed though .It worked in the South... as long as they could own slaves that is. hence the low taxes and limited government. When you don't have to pay the workforce or be regulated in any way, turns out you don't need a strong central government.

HEY!!! I got it!!! A solution! Let's just enslave all Latinos now and we kill the immigration and small government issues with one stone!!! Progress!!

BTW, Sheezus died for your sins and doesn't like that name being used in such manner. Blasphemer! :)

Stupid idea. Now if you would have said Progressives... :)
Just trying to embrace your way of thinking. Confederated government is the cornerstone of TP philosophy. Like I said never mind it failed, there is a bla... err... socialist guy in office and his over reach must be stopped!!!

I saw a windowless van down the street that I was sure was going to be the Obama Gun Confiscation Unit (OGCU). Turns out it was just some friendly folks offering free candy to the kids.

Wasn't Moses the poster boy for the NRA? Even quoting from that character?
He was indeed. Unfortunately, he did pass away and the gun was pried from his hand. I heard his ghost haunts Wayne LaPierre for allowing that to happen.

See, celebrity opinions are OK, if they preach the right's dogma. If they don't, they need to shut up and concentrate on what they are good at.

Heston actually put his money where his mouth is and became president of the NRA instead of just spouting off from the sidelines like Ted Nugent does.

Didn't Heston become president of the NRA after his film career was over? And did I miss where King retired from writing and joined the board of directors at the Brady Foundation, or something?

Man, nobody tells me notin'

Nope, his last film was released in 2003. He was active with the NRA for a long time as a spokesman before he was president. During all of which he was an actor and in the entertainment business. Funny how a single essay on the topic by SK after a national tragedy somehow in your twisted logic equates to a decades long constant public voicing by Heston on the same topic.

You get told lots of facts. You just reject them.

And I hear tell some people had a problem with Heston's Second Amendment viewpoints and association with the NRA, and even protested against him with signs like "NRA, Pusher of Child Killer Machines.'' I never really had an issue with people voicing their objections with Heston and was always fine with the criticism against him. Dems the facts jack.

The difference being he (Heston) was heavily involved and took an extremist viewpoint on the matter. SK did neither. Also, since he didn't have a fan website he supplied for free to the users where they then unjustly criticized him for things he didn't even say or do, maybe we can't compare Heston's experience to this thread.

Analogies are NOT your strong suit at ALL.

Somehow I don't remember Charlton Heston being immune to criticism. Jim Carry's stupid video mocking of the passed away wasn't vitriolic at all.

Again I point out comparisons or analogies always seem to be different when they go against ones viewpoints, and similar when they support one's viewpoint.

Matters of opinion dude, not facts.

Once again, those who want to keep things the same are not the polar opposite of those who want to completely ban firearms.

Those who want to keep things as they have been are less "extreme" than those who demand change.
