Do you think that's what happened to Al? If I remember correctly King would reference Al's diminishing health and how old he looked. I wonder if Al had spent a lifetime in the past in conjunction to his cheap, frequent beef patty trips? I know he had to have spent some time studying Lee Oswald and developing notes for Jake.

This is correct. Jake and Al aged like any person whether they were in present day or 1960's. It's just that they were only gone 2 minutes in present day but lived 2-3 years back in time.

I think a few Big Mac's have aged me a few years also...
