I'd posted in the weather thread about a local man whose wife died because he beat her...or who is alleged to have beaten her, as the song and dance goes. Gazette had a nice article page three yesterday...her organs have been transplanted into seven people including children...a 12-year-old girl got her heart. Her name was Sanaz and she was wearing lavender when her life ended. She was 27 years old. Day before the paper had a picture of him, second one they posted...and he looks more disheveled than the previous photo of him, after his arrest, jailhouse orange with some sort of wound or scar on his forehead...looking eerily like Manson....plead not guilty to 2nd degree murder...but I'd like to believe that his disheveled appearance is evidence of a contrite heart. Sanaz's heart, anyway, still beats.

Happy and sad and thankful.

I do appreciate hearing an update, it's a relief to hear that some good has come out of something so terrible.

Oh Walter - this is so horrible to have happened to someone you know personally  I am glad that seven other people got a new lease on life thanks to her parents generosity - I guess it was her parents' decision to donate the organs - that is the best outcome for this tragedy.

If I die suddenly I would like my organs donated and I have filled out a donor card that I keep in my wallet.

I am happy today because we celebrate New Year's Day. It's my last day at work before the vacations. Also, happy because they are going to show Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King during the holidays.

Happy New Year Lina, and I hope you enjoy Nightmares & Dreamscapes.
Be sure not to miss the episode entitled "Battleground", because it's particularly good.
