...okay, it didn't actually take me three years to read it, I mean, I'm not the fastest reader in the world, but I'm not THAT slow. I was so excited when it came out (as I am when anything King publishes comes out), but I couldn't get into it. I just wasn't that interested in reading about baseball. I mean, I love to watch baseball (Go Brewers!!), but reading about it, not so much. So, I put it away for a few months, then I tried again. Nope, still couldn't get into it. Well, I picked it up a couple of months ago and what do you know? I really enjoyed it! Turns out baseball isn't the whole story. What did you think of this book?

I still have not read it. I might own a copy of it, but like you I thought it was all about sports

I did not like this book. At all. Not in the least. I thought it was poorly written and lacked originality. I pretty much figured out the twist less than halfway through it. I wanted to like it, but just could not. Just my opinion.

I don't think I got a baseball card with mine - were they in a special edition?

I dunno if it was special...maybe so...a baseball card w/William Blakely New Jersey Titans Catcher on it...looks like someone I know...born September 21, 1937...in Clarence, Iowa...five eleven one-ninety-five bats right throws right...w/a brief history below those specs. Hardcover. Came in bubble wrap...the book. Can''t remember where I ordered the book from...maybe that Cemetery Dance outfit? When it was first published. I haven't used it on the spokes of my bicycle, as yet...just been kinda rumbling real loud...until I start coughing and I have to quit.

Probably was from Cemetery Dance. Hey Walter? Don't put the card on your bicycle spokes, okay? :no_pig::uh-uh::waaaht:

The Darkside of the Moon (England really)
I didn't mind it, not the best story in the world, but by no means the worst. Ididn't even mind the baseball stuff in it - and being English, I've never seen a baseball game in my life. The cover was retro cool too :)

Mine is the one with Morality at the end, and that story was utter crap for me. I know people liked morality more than Blockade Billy, but I sure aren't one of them.
