I just watched this for the first time ever and was probably most blown away by the love scene between Molly Ringwald and that guy who played Leut. Dan in Forrest Gump. Visually, such an incredibly odd pair, however that just added to the 90's cheese-factor. I love SK's book, but the entire film was just portrayed in such a stunted, phoned-in performance fashion. I am a huge fan of all of the made for tv movies as well as the feature films. I really enjoyed how loads of dead people in the background can be seen holding prop items straight up in the air, or died while taking a drink from the drinking fountain and just instantly entered rigor mortis. So cool.

Please, please, please no more molly. If i wasnt obsessed with the novel, i wouldnt have bothered with the tv mini series. Her painful portrayal of fran was....... just...... well....... painful. But i figured, despite Frannie being one of the main characters, I could cope with what Molly was trying to do.

I know there are plenty of people who will rate her as an actress. Me ? not so much ........ The mini series as a whole, IMO, was cheesy but thats kinda what you get from mid 90s low budget productions. Cheesy but still one of my fave things to watch :).

Hurry up Josh Boone - you have a tiny manc excited for what you are about to create
