Im the same, just got "The Bazaar of Bad Dreams" yesterday and I have just finished Mile 81....and gotta say I loved it....didn't know where it was going at the beginning when young Pete wanted to go Bike jumping with his older brother George but he wouldn't let Peter as it was too dangerous for him...and then he went to the abandoned rest stop to prove he was cool enough by drinking vodka and then he passes out...then we get the creepy station wagon and this gave me chillls....kinda like Christine....but this one gets to eat! Great story to start the collection!!!

This is the only story I have had the chance to read so far. I loved it, great start to the book and the build up is so great, brings me back to my own childhood, going places you shouldn't and exploring things just like this.

I have one problem with this story, its not a big deal really but actually made me stop reading and wonder as to the reason, if it was on purpose or a mistake. When the officer approaches the car, Tom I believe his name is, it says that he takes the safety off of his Glock. Well, I know that King goes out of his way to do his research and contact specialist in certain fields to help him with accuracy's in his book. Anyone slightly familiar with firearms can tell you that Glocks do not have a "safety" and certainly not in the traditional sense that It can be "switched off".
Now I cant think that I was the only one that noticed this. So I began to wonder, knowing Kings political stances and its no secret where he leans and his thoughts on guns and the related issues, so was this an intended "mistake"?
Is there an editor that just made a mistake?
I guess we will never know the real answer unless someone ask Stephen Himself, but I was very curious about this obvious mistake and what you guys on the board thought about it or even noticed it.
