I click the quote button and then manually delete what is not the phrase I want to quote.
But I noticed recently that, if you select the text you want to quote (dragging the cursor over the text while holding the mouse's button), it gives a small option to quote only that.
I have never used it, going back to the button every time, but I think it might be useful for others (and for myself, if I remembered the option is there before having already used the normal way).

Either I get my cheeks that round or do a bad impression of that open mouth. I have big cheeks, but not balloon-round unless I fill them with air, which can't be done with the mouth like that.
"Doc", just what series-Danny was called as he stared dumbly at space with his open mouth (and no, that was not during his spells, that was his normal look).
I watched this over the weekend. I re-read the book after I received the new special edition and it made me want to give this another try. I didn't really like the mini-series the first time I watched it but I really did enjoy it this time around. I think the first time, I was disappointed that it was a network production and had kind of made up my mind that I wasn't going to like it because of that. This time, I went into it with more of an open mind about the production. It's a bit dated and suffers from network-itis but I think it's good. Steve did a great job with the screen play. With all of the taming down of the material that the network required, he was still able to keep the tension and creepiness at a high level. He even did a good job working around those commercial breaks. I saw this on dvd but those commercial breaks are still annoying with a production like this even though there are no commercials. Too many mini cliff hangers have to be included around those breaks but Steve's script handled that pretty well. I thought the casting of Steven Weber and Rebecca De Mornay worked very well too.
So, I've changed my mind since the first time I saw it and think this is actually very good. I didn't like the epilogue in the mini-series. It was way to positive .
That was probably a concession to the network to have a nice warm and fuzzy happily ever after ending.

I liked it, too. It was more of a thriller and not scary like the book but I really enjoyed it. I especially liked visiting The Stanley Hotel where it was filmed and where it was conceived in King's mind. The hedge animals were veey well done for television at that time, I think.
