If re-entry resets to the past, how is he able to save the children and JFK permanently? Ref. woman who returned to wheelchair when he went back up the pantry stairs. This has bothered me. If this could be explained, I would appreciate it.

Also, if Al Templeton got lung cancer whilst he was in the past, why didn't he go back through the 'rabbit hole' and reset?

Perhaps because he was being selfless and he knew he would harm those he "cured" during entry. At any rate, when I reached the end many questions were answered, but I wish the book wouldn't have been so abstruse.

That will not help, resetting in book means resetting the overall timeline, not person's physical and biologocal appearance or sickness. So no matter how many times jake will return there, he was still in his age, even he stayed for 4 years there, when he get outsode of the hole, he was 4 years older than when he was starting.

It is like you are moving through different dimension but your age follows how the time flows in the dimension where you originally came from

Patience, my friend, patience. Don't judge a book until you finished the last page.

I couldn't agree more. I'm 4 days after finishing and I'm still thinking about it, still emotional. I can honestly say I've never been affected by a book like this before. Beautifully written perfect ending, if not the one I would have liked.

One question that was never answered, because it never came up is what would happen if a second person went down the rabbit hole during that brief period time while the first was still in there. I expect someday the premise of the rabbit hole will be revisited and that question will be at the center.
That's a good question; maybe that will inspire King to do a sequel. I'd love to read a sequel to this book.
