So... if this is legit, SK's most terrifying creation is going to be played by a millennial hipster. Pennywise with skinny jeans, tweeting about who he just slaughtered in a storm drain. Sigh.

All excitement I had in this project plummeted when Cary Fukunaga left. I was willing to give it a chance based on who was cast as the reason I still hate walking past sewer gratings. This... probably won't be getting my money.

I watched a couple of Hemlock Grove clips on YouTube. Nothing that made me want to look at the show though. But why are they casting so young? Somebody like Willem Dafoe would be great in the role.

I don't think it matters. Pennywise isn't human--it can look like anything or anyone. I keep seeing people try to compare with Tim Curry, too. It's not a valid criticism, because he's an actor. The role could be reasonably played by anyone of any age or sex (the little Pet Sematery kid--if he was still little--would be so creepy I don't think I could watch the thing!)

True. I'll try to keep an open mind. Let's see what the trailer will look like.

He sort of looks like a more filled out Steve Buscemi. Not as gaunt as Steve, but I see a resemblance.
He's not as pretty as his older brother (Alexander Skarsgard--I know he's supposed to be a hottie, but I'm meh about him. I'd choose his dad, Stellan, anyway--lol ), but I think he's a more interesting actor. I hope people give him a chance.

I think I watched it on Hulu, but it's not there anymore. It's on popcornflix.com, though :) I've watched quite a few movies on that site--it's one we have saved on the Roku. Free site.
BTW, if you do go to popcornflix.com, Dana Jean ,don't bother with the search function--it sucks. Go right to foreign films. A lot of the Film Movement films on there are very good! If you haven't seen them, Adam's Apples and Mother of Mine are particularly good :)

At least it's not Idris Elba.
