So, I've been watching Psych since the first episode. I absolutely love it! I entered a contest back in Season 5 and won a prize package. I wear Psych slippers around the house. So I was gutted when, at the end of Wednesday's episode, James Roday and Dule Hill announced that this would be the final season. Only 5 more episodes left! :big_tears:

I sure hope they get Sean and Jules together for good!

Me too! I will be really sad if they don't... although Shawn really needs to get a steady job first lol

Roday and Hill haven't been themselves (or rather Shawn and Burton lol) in the last few episodes... like they're uninspired or something. I hope they get back in the groove for the last episodes. Maybe they will since Chief Trout got fired.

My all-time favorite episode was Deez Nups (Lassie and Marlowe get married). I laughed until my tummy hurt.

Yeah, Chief Trout was an unwelcome tangent, IMO. Glad he's gone.

Favorite episode? The Clue tribute! I love that movie and it was so great to see some of the stars from it :)

Really, I haven't seen a bad episode. And I love that Lassie and Marlowe got hitched. What a cute couple. :love_heart:

Agree with all of this although my favorite has to be the sk tribute one. They are all good.

Dang! I think I somehow missed that one :( There seem to be a few good spoof episodes I missed. When I googled psych stephen king, I found this comment on imdb... Every year, USA's Psych (a comedy procedural about a fake psychic who solves real crimes) spoofs the horror genre. They have spoofed Friday the 13th (an episode called "Tuesday the 17th") and Twin Peaks (titled "Dual Spires") and done episodes that were a love letter to Alfred Hitchcock, vampires (guest starring Lost Boy Corey Feldman and original Buffy Kristy Swanson) and werewolves (guest starring American Werewolf in London David Naughton). Now, they've moved on to the King. Stephen King. More after the jump. In this week's episode, "Heeeeeere's Lassie!" the show spoofs The Shining. Detective Lassiter moves into a new condo, and weird, »

I hope USA marathons Psych soon.

I read that there's a pineapple in almost every Psych episode. It might not be an actual pineapple, it could be a Hawaiian shirt or something. I've been trying to spot the pineapples but have had little luck... I'm the pits at finding Waldo too :(

Yep, that's true. Sometimes it's not even an actual pineapple. In one episode, Lassie lit a grenade candle. Slang for grenade? Yep, pineapple! ;)

I thought Wednesday's episode was really good :)

Now that Lassie is the police chief and Jules is going to San Francisco possibly with Shaun (and maybe Burton lol), there could be a spinoff starring Lassiter :) I would watch it :)

I don't know...
These last couple episodes have seemed to be about Guster and his facial expressions. Shawn hasn't had much to do. The interaction between the characters is missing. I do like the comradery that is forming between Lassie and his new head detective though. They're a hoot :)

Well, what did everyone think? The most brilliant moment of the show
was the Monk nod. Loved it.

I missed that :( Can you describe it a bit?

I was kinda disappointed in finale. I had expected Shawn to tell Jules all about his "ability" and tell her examples and maybe have some flashbacks. I wanted him to be recognized for the great detective he actually is, and be offered a job on the SFPD. I never expected Guster to follow Shawn to SF - Guster needs a life of his own. I wanted to tell Jules to run! Do you really want to marry someone who comes with a sidekick?

Gus made me sad. Friendship is a wonderful thing, but yes, he needs to have a life.
When Shawn gets to San Francisco (where Monk was a crime solving contracted person) Shawn says, something to the effect that the team is back together and they can set up shop there and continue to solve crimes. And the chief says, "We already have a guy, he's in the kitchen alphabetizing the [spices]" (I think it was spices or maybe she said soup cans). That is a direct homage to Monk.

Oh! I'm surprised I didn't catch that. I loved Monk :) I'm glad you caught it, Thanks!

I'm not reading the spoilers.

I think I missed the final episode because I was out of town. Truthfully, I enjoyed the first season most and best when they really used his hyperobservant abilities really, really well in the show. That was the gimmick that sold me, and it never seemed to reach the point that it did at the start.

I was watching the last season off and on, and I was a lot more entertained. We were determined to watch the final one, and then I was in a hotel room without USA, and Grandma back home didn't want to watch it without me.

So when it comes back ... given what you just read (liked the first season best, was starting to enjoy the latest season again), is it worth it to catch? No spoilers, please. Is it worth it?

They're baaaa-aaaack! Well for a one-off anyway. There's going to be.... wait for iiiiiiiiiiit,,,

A Psych Movie!!!!

'Psych' Reunion Movie Details | Hollywood Reporter

Can't wait! James and Steve Franks are writing it. Everyone will be back plus a few surprise guests. Yes! I'll have my Psych slippers on, wearing my Psych T-shirt and my Psych foam pineapple nearby. (I also have a little notebook & pen and a small drawstring bag - Psych green, of course!)

BTW, ION-TV is running the show at 1:00 and 2:00 am. Since I'm almost always up, I've been re-watching. I just wish that, once they get to the end, they'd go all the way back to #1. They only went back to Season 5 last time.
