Has this book been spoiled for me?

Hello, while I was recently researching which version of the Stand to purchase (the 1978 original or 1990 uncut) I accidently and innocently stumbled across a spoiler. Seeing this angered me as I was really looking forward to the book, the plot look absolutely intriguing.

The spoiler was this:
Randall Flagg dies/disappears somewhere in the novel

Is the novel ruined? Can I still read it with enjoyment?

Absolutely read the book. Follow the journey of the characters, see what brought about that spoiler. Remember, it's all about the journey, not the ending.
***and is that the ending of the character in the spoiler?

I watched the miniseries from the early '90s long before I read the book and still enjoyed it despite knowing what would happen- I just finished it, in act, and it was an excellent read.

Dude, iThere is no point in getting angry. It's an almost 40 year old book, massively popular, and the godfather of all apocalypse/dystopias. Spoilers are inevitable. :)

There is much between those covers. Enjoy it all.

Also noticed that the uncut (1990) version of the Stand is somewhere around 1152 pages. The version I bought is 1439 pages. Is this the same as the 1990 version?

I suppose I'll start the book, just really hope it isn't ruined. I was so upset after reading that back cover and getting so invested.

Wait, you read the back cover of the novel? I hardly think that would be a spoiler.
