We are supposed to be around 50 tonight and that sounds much warmer than your area. It sure is a beautiful day today. 65, clear and sunny and tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same. I'm going to enjoy it, it's about the only winter we've had this year.

We have the same temperatures here but it's called spring here.:)

No offense, I'm just trying to say that climate change is a trend not an event. I'm sure you can go back in history and find a storm just a devastating. Climate change is so divisive that I think when you see people blaming a specific storm on climate change, then a denier will say "well, there was a worse storm in 1933" and not see the bigger picture. I just think we are better being as factual as possible. I think you are boxing yourself in when you start claiming specific storms are because of climate change because you can always find a worse storm in the past. Climate change is more the increase of the number of huge weather events over a period of time than a specific event. I just think things like this give fuel to the deniers. (and they sure don't need more fuel ;-D)

I agree when you say that you can't claim a specific event to climate change. But it's a world wide thing now and to be honest it's not the first world which is suffering big big it's more the poorer third world countries. I think weather reports are a thing from the 19th century so before that you won't find data. Which is probably part of the problem.

...the broadcast group I work for has Fox News Radio as their network new source....in a news update this early AM as I was rolling the Mighty Man Jeep down to the Pokey, they did a story about the wrap-up of the blizzard-like conditions in the Northeast-but that it would be followed by "pungent" cold....what the frickin' bloody blue hell is "pungent cold".........dear man Jesus.....:facepalm_smiley:

Maybe it is because your 'nose gets froze' :abnormal:
Dictionary definition:

The ultimate source of the word pungent is Latin pungere "to prick, sting." Ginger and mustard seed are examples of pungent spices. Limburger cheese has the distinction of being the most pungent of all cheeses. And if your pet has an accident in the house, there may be a pungent odor. And pungent can be used in a figurative sense: pungent language is stimulating and expressive.

Sounds like the guy or girl was a bit mixed up - perhaps they thought it meant biting or stinging

There's this bright thing in the sky. It's kinda scary but nice at the same time. o_O

Seriously, we've had only 32 days since October that were sunny. I mean, I don't mind the rain that much but this is pushing me to even my limits.

Tery what does it look like ? Its around 50 degrees here, and all clear skies, and its going to drop to the 30s again tonight, its just calm and cold here
