Hello.

I have been collecting the new MMP releases of Stephen's novels/collections being slowly doled out by Simon & Schuster Pocket Books.

I love the new covers and fonts and it is nice to finally have a cohesive look to my King collection. However, the new cover for revival was just announced, and it unfortunately is not of the same design as the last 30 books to be released in this format.

See this amazon page for example: Amazon.com: stephen king mass market pocket books: Books

Just wondering if anyone knows why this is, or if there is a better master list of what books will be released in the new format?

Thank you for any info,

Shimonhead

The Revival mass market looks the same as the others.... and I must say, I am loving the new line of MMPs. I buy each one as it releases. A slew is hitting shelves in the coming months (Different Seasons, Bag of Bones, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon et cetera).
So far, from these new covers, my favorites are Misery, Needful Things, The Tommyknockers, and Christine. The Bag of Bones cover reminds me of the Deliverance movie poster. Yeah, I'm with you. I like these a lot.

Just noticed in the link from OP the upcoming Everything's Eventual features a lighthouse, like the UK first edition. I've never understood that cover; I don't understand this one, either. WTH? Does one of the stories feature a lighthouse in some way? I don't recall that...

I mean more the lettering fonts...they look like the old font style, instead of the new font style used on the examples above and below Revival on the link. I'm just disappointed S&S would release an old font in the middle of their re-releases. It breaks the new style collection. And I think Anchor Books still owns the rights to Carrie up through The Stand, so those novels plus Night Shift won't be released by S&S in this new style either.

I was wondering the same thing the other day! I'll have to re-read it when it releases and see :)

It looks like the font on Revival matches up with the fonts on his other current-release MMPs. I think the other typestyle you're talking about that you like lines up with all the re-releases they're putting out. And thanks for finding that release date. I've been waiting for this to come out forever!

Oh, OK...good point...I didn't even think about Re-Releases vs Current Releases...that does pretty much explain the reason for the font/typeset difference.

Thank you for your reply!
