If I had a dollar for every time someone posted a link on my fb (or tagged me in a post) about the new autistic Sesame Street muppet...I could buy a nice bottle of wine :D
It's nice people are thinking of us, but I follow about 37 autism pages/blogs, so trust me I've seen it before you did...and my kid doesn't watch Sesame Street.
Plus he doesn't know what "autism" is or that he has it.
It's nice that they are educating young children in a relatable way though.

I think that's the idea (not sending it to parents children with autism, but making the character). Kids can be cruel (sometimes unintentional, sometimes intentional) when they don't understand something. I was just talking to people on FB--it started because one mom was very sad that no one came to her son's birthday party (he is on the spectrum), and other parents with the same issue came out of the woodwork. There is a good result, though: a park meet up is planned for this weekend for all of the parents/kids, differently-abled and non.
