I posted the other day about "Mile 81" -- really liked the story except for the ending.

"Morality" is another story I finally got around to reading in the collection. No ambiguity here -- I loved this one, beginning, middle, end. In fact, I read the entire thing in one sitting even though I meant to only begin it since I had to be somewhere...no matter, I had to take it all in right away. Very compelling concept.

I could see this as a streaming series, with others being given morality challenges...yes, this has been done before in fiction (not sure about a television series, but there was a recent movie that had this theme), but I'm sure it could be done in a unique way.

....I see where you're coming from-but there is enough deranged behavior on display 24/7....there was no redemption in this novella, nothing inspiring-we have enough of this inundating us daily-do we really need more?....

Sometimes we're faced with people who appear to have no redeeming qualities, and no way to avoid them. If nothing else it puts the reader square in those crosshairs and teaches this bitter but not necessarily permanent lesson and state of affairs.

Hmm I liked the development. It starts with two decent people who were pretty taken with each other and were trying to make ends meet, and eventually become the worst versions of themselves over something quite silly. It's almost a story about entropy - has the feel of Premium Harmony.

I much prefer Morality to Premium Harmony. Morality was about finding parys of yourself you didn't necessarily know were there. Premium Harmony was really an episode in a couples life.
