Morning!

Hope everyone had a nice Easter. We did, spent the day at Brandon's. Lots of good food and good company.

Yesterday my dad surprised us with a visit. He and my stepmom were in Montana over the weekend visiting my stepmom's family. They stopped here on their way back home. Just a real quick visit, but it was a really nice surprise. Last weekend my aunt and cousin stopped by, so two surprise family visits in a week! (Thank goodness I've been working so hard in the house! ;;D)

Lots to do today. Never ends. Kids home all week for break. So, better get after it! Have a great day! Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:

I'm back. I feel very different after that thing that hit me and completely ruined easter. Didn't eat a thing for 4 days. a record for me, as i remember anyway but this is probably one of the momenets of life you wish you could erase. Now i'm in the recuperation phase. Need to build up some of the famous Kurb strength..... Eating, sleeping and drinking only remedy i guess.

Healing vibes. There appears to be some mighty strong germs out there this year. Rest and heal.

It was my first day tuesday and i thought calling in sick the first day? NO. So i crawled to work and sat their looking like a ghost, even managed to talk, but did not do very much proper work but i was there! I clocked in and did some work at least. Feel better today but not up in mid season form. I can walk around at work and do the tasks but if you asked me to play floorball, or an ballgame, thats a no. To run for any amount of time is a thought with horror as its nearest neighbour!

Sounds pretty nasty - do you have someone who can look in on you to make sure you are okay? Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Glad the new gig is going well Neesy. Do you have to work any overnight shifts? I hated those more than any other shift. I worked nights for about a year and a half and could never get used to sleeping during the day, whole schedule got thrown off, took a slot with Tuesday/Wednesday as my days off just to get back onto afternoon shift, 2pm-12am. Completely worth it to be able to sleep at night but crappy days off for about a year until I got some seniority built up.

The latest shift I will ever get is 4:30 p.m. to 11 (or 1630 to 2300 for you military types) =D:m_bigwink:

I do find myself up at 3 a.m. and sometimes even 4 a.m. but I am not sure why - after 11 years of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. five days a week, I guess it will take time to get used to shift work.

No midnight or graveyard shifts on this job!

As far as seniority, I have to take whatever is left in terms of vacation as I am now low man on the totem pole, but I am willing to live with that.

The people are great and I really enjoy what I am doing :m_excited:

(Thanks for asking!) ghost19 :)

Military time is fine by me, still getting used to using AM/PM here where I work now, military time is so much easier..lol
Glad you're liking your new gig. Have a good shift, and evening.
