Hey Hill,

I realized that there was no topic for the TV version of the Dead Zone, so I asked for one to be added. Thanks for Ms. Mod and Jordan, it now live. Hopefully we can get some good discussions/memories going over there.

Somewhere over the rainbow
:Oo:
I had yet to see this news and so it was a shock
When location scouting agents stumbled on my block.
They were looking here and in some other neighborhoods;
Said they were from Warner Brothers and they liked my woods.

They are shooting Castle Rock - a Hulu TV show -
Based on books by Stephen King... But, now I wanna know
What is it that scouting agents saw which made them think
My woods would be suitable? Now I'm afraid to blink.

Did they see a Saint Bernard, perhaps a scary clown?
Are there monsters roaming through my quiet, little town?
It's a little disconcerting when somebody looks
At your house and think it's like something from Stephen's books.

This is sooooo cool. Please keep us informed as to what is going on. This is cool. I shan't to know what sissy(Carrie) is going to be doing? Or what role

Melanie Lynskey, who was in ROSE RED, will play Molly Strand, a woman with a rare medical condition who’s barely scraping by as a real estate agent in a town where every third property is the site of someone’s worst nightmare. Holland plays Henry, a death row attorney with a unique and complicated history in Castle Rock. In addition to Holland, Lynskey joins previously cast Sissy Spacek and Jane Levy.

Are these actual character names? From books?

I'm no contract lawyer, but I thought that once the movie company/television company buys the rights, they own it forever. The name of the story etc. That's why they could make 7 or so 'Children of the Corn' movies (I saw the director of the original said he owned the rights and was suiing someone over who owned the rights. It was in the news last month.)

I don't think so, otherwise there wouldn't be (so many) remakes.

Only the original Children of the Corn and the 2009 tv-movie are from the same producer, Donald Borchers. But they have different production companies.
It doesn't list all the production companies, but the ones it does, you can see are different from film to film:
