i'm a tradesman. i've worked in the hard/skilled trades as long as i've been a working adult. literally. i weld, now. i airtight fireboxes and other parts on gas stoves (the heating kind, not the cooking kind)
that is at my core, who i am.
but i am also a craftsman. and listening to SK recount the journey of writing the series i just finished, The Dark Tower, through journal entries, as well as simply hearing the title "on writing", something clicked.
and well... the wind began to blow after so many years of being ignored. blow? no, that's the wrong word. it's a mixture of gusts and flurries.
i'm listening to the audiobook of on writing right now (paused so i could devote my attention to writing this post, of course).
i want to pursue writing and self-publishing as a hobby. and i'm gonna do just that.
