I don`t see an actual thread here for the book, or maybe I`m blind.
If some other thread in here is for the book discussion, then feel free to delete this one.
So, anyone started it yet?
First impressions?
I am 80 pages in, a lot of stuff already happened, but it is way to early to tell anything, whether it is good or not.
For now, all I can say is that I`m supper happy to have a new book in my hands....:)

I've yet to read Swan Song. I've got it on my ereader to read, but I've been busy rereading a lot of Stephen's books again. When I get the urge to have a re-read, I tend to binge on the lot, an urge I found useless to fight against, lol.

Hopefully after Sleeping Beauties I can get Swan Song under my wing. It will be interesting to compare all four stories against each other.

Am on page 141. I tend to read new King novels too quickly so am trying to savor this one. Was slow for the first 50 or so pages but then picked up. I suspect Steve is behind the book’s more horrific setpieces and they are largely successful; there’s a sense of dread over this story that I haven’t felt since Revival. And, of course, I’m always down for a good apocalyptic story. :)

Some parts, though, do feel a bit awkward.
That’s my nemesis, thinks Jared, son of the Sheriff, in regards to a classmate. That just feels a bit too on-the-nose for Steve and especially Owen. I’ve noticed a few stray lines here and there that are written awkwardly, and I suppose that comes with any collaboration.

Don’t forget Cormac McCarthy’s The Road... and Steve’s ‘Summer Thunder’. :D

I promise myself that every time I read a new SK book I will chew slowly and savour it this time around, then...BOOM...I'm done! He just pulls you along with wanting to know what is going to happen next, and I cannot help myself. The mark of a true master. Maybe that's why his rereads are so good, because I missed half of the book first time around reading it too quickly.

I'm on page 60 and so far i like it a lot. Reminds me a little of Under The Dome...
I guess it's the methlabs...:)
I'm getting that vibe myself. I think it's the methlabs, the very strange goings on and the huge cast of diverse characters. UTD was not one of my favorite endings, but I'm going on with an open mind.
