It's not bad but I've never been a huge fan. It used to come on TV a lot in the late 80's/early 90's, usually during the day when there was nothing on. For some reason when I watch it I'm turned into a bored little kid, laying at home sick from school and I keep expecting a trade school or accident attorney commercial to break in even if I'm watching it on Blu Ray. I do enjoy The Ledge though. If I do watch Cat's Eye it's usually just that segment.

My favorite was Quitters, Inc.

Watched Cat's Eye with my school aged children. They hated me for this. Their shared bedroom had a huge crack running along the baseboard.

We all mess up our kids in our own special way. I took the King way.

Dang Ms. Thang, that's a bit harsh! I've been going with expecting too much, and living thru mine vicariously. It seems to be doing the job.

LOL In my defense, they'd seen worse at their dad's. How is a wall troll more traumatic than a toilet mutant???

Yeah. Good point. But I think to the male population that little white scrub thing looks a bit complicated. And at this point, if I gave my bowl a good scrub I could be wiping out an entire civilization. I could be denying the world it's next Einstein. Having Sea Monkeys as a child has perhaps made me a bit too sentimental. But the crack. Have you tried spackle?

I watched it earlier tonight for the first time since the 80s and have to admit that it aged pretty well. James Woods was excellent (as always) in Quitters Inc. Robert Hays was sweating more on The Ledge than he was while trying to land that Airplane ;;D and the Troll was just as horrible as I remembered.
My partner, Shirley, left the room during the cat's road-crossing scene. I think she feared the worst

The only problem with the film was Drew Barrymore. Between post-toddler & teen her acting seemed to become very self conscious. She was equally terrible in Firestarter. Worse, because she had more screen time. But she was a "name". Her late career has been great. And in interviews she's such a flake. But in a nice way. I like her!

Aw, I thought she was ok in Cats Eye.
Her performance in the opening sequence from Scream was great. I thought it a pity when it turned into a semi-comedy after so much tension at the start.
