Yay! I loved reading through this thread and hearing everyone's stories and seeing pictures! (except for what happened to srbo but I'm glad you had a good time and the positives that came out of that event!)
I was at the Brooklyn stop and other than the church being hotter than Hades(ironic no?) I had a great time. I didn't get to see Marsha but I waved from the balcony to wherever she was. It's already been described by others so I can't contribute much more. My friend and I didn't get there until 5:00 and the line was pretty long but we wanted to sightsee(and boy did we). We ended up in the balcony with a good view and I was happy about that because it was too freakin hot on the floor area. We both ended up with signed books. We could be some of those folks Machine was referring to that were taking sidewalk pics but ours was for FB NOT to sell. A couple of pics...(ps, those are my friends dirty NYC nails, not mine ;-D

Here, there and everywhere.
I've only been to two King readings (one in New York with Rowling and Irving, the other in New Orleans). I've always wanted a signed book, and was disappointed that my book in NOLA wasn't signed, but what are you gonna do? So I love seeing that some of you got signed books! I know you'll treasure them. <3

And I'm sorry, Srbo - I can't imagine how embarrassing and frustrating your experience was.

Thanks, misery chastain loves co. and SusanNorton .
Yeah, I don`t know what happened there, must have been some bad karma floating around and landing on my head for some reason.
Like they said in the book...sometimes you get what you want, mostly you get what you get.
But it`s all good, I have beautiful memories that will last forever, I felt great, met interesting people, met the iconic Marsha, got Wizard and Glass signed by her, got to meet our lovely Neesy and her son, saw SK and OK in the flesh, walked the streets of Toronto again and that was AWESOME...yeah, I`m good, more than good, I hope I can do it all over again on a next book tour. :)

It was just pure magic, except for that part at the venue, but still...the venue was beautiful, it was so awesome to be a part of a big crowd who are all booklovers, seeing SK and Owen in the flesh, not very far from you, listening to their stories, the laughter...it all felt a bit surreal, almost like an out of body experience. It has been a long time since I had the feeling that I actually belong.
I mean..during lunch I talk to Marsha, THE Marsha, which also felt surreal and I asked her where SK is right now, at this very moment, is he exploring TO a bit maybe, and she says no, he is most likely in his hotel room writing.
Writing? The guy is on a book tour for a brand new book...and he is writing???
Oh yeah, she says, and he is somewhat pissed of that he can`t write as much as he wants to, no time...
When would that had happened in my otherwise pretty ordinary life ( in the last few years, anyway ) to hear something like that first hand and get ENOURMOUS inspiration from the story?
And then the walk through TO, as well...I love that city, but I wouldn`t wanna live there anymore, not with a little kid and it`s REALLY expensive...and being in the company of Neesy and Josh and having a really good time with them, laughing my heart out?
I can only wish every SK fan gets to do what I got to do, it`s something you will never forget and sometimes you will ask yourself if it wasn`t all a dream, as beautiful as it was....:)
