At the very least, we all have a general understanding of It. It lives in the macro verse (also known as Todash Space in the Dark Tower books), which surrounds all universes. It came to Derry before humans came to North America, maybe even before humans actually existed, and eventually gained an iron grip of influence and control of Derry, Maine. It can take the form of any individuals worst fear. It likes to take the form of Pennywise the dancing clown, and this physical aspect of It (the one that can shapshift and confront the Loser Club) exists as an extension of It.

But the part of It that most relates to my theory is this-It believes that the only two supernatural beings in existence are Itself and Maturin the turtle. It begins thinking there might be an other being, but died before making up It's mind. So my theory is that It didn't exist until after Gan created the Dark Tower, that It is some form of demon that is still actually very VERY young, considering It calls the turtle old and stupid like some kids would talk about certain adults. So the reason why It isn't aware of other beings like the Crimson King, Gan, or even Walter is because It is still very much a child and hasn't existed long enough to learn about anything relating to these figure.

I don't think it really cares. You can be old and still call other people old and dumb. IT likes to eat and mess with people..I doubt it be willing to share it hunting ground with any others. I mean in the end maybe it knew..but why would it share it with the kids or anyone. I always got the feeling that IT knew it was bigger meaner and stronger then any human. It would not tell you anything worth while unless was scare you make you tender or crush your will.

Like JMR said, my grandparents call people their age old. It's about your mindset. Another thing that I am beginning to speculate, I'm new to the SKU(Stephen King Universe) and I know I am not even brushing the surface. But I have a thought that "eternal" beings such as IT, Maturin and the Crimson King, and possibly others; that they cannot lie. Yes, they can deceive you, but once their true form is presented that they can't actually lie. I thought about it when Bill was older and got thrown in the Todash space(I hope that's right), or the void between worlds, and saw that Maturin was dead. I thought that IT was lying to break down his confidence in order to defeat the Losers Club. But upon a little wiki search, I find out that Maturin was dead. Is this true(that they can't actually lie) , or is there some bearing that I have yet to see? A facade is placed but once it is called out it goes against the set of rules that govern the system that allows true deception.

...never thought about it as such.....wipe away the deceit and what's left is the truth indeed....no need for further lies....

As you may know, i'm reading the German SciFi Novel Perry Rhodan.

There are Lifeforms, called Superintelligences , and one of them is called IT

I sometimes try, to make a connection between SK's IT and the Perry Rhodan IT

The superintelligences are the next step above normal minds. They are born, for example, when a species collectively gives up its bodies and unites their spirits. Those superintelligences claim a domain as theirs, consisting of up to several galaxies (the entity known as "ES ('IT')" has the Local Group as personal domain). The superintelligence nourishes mentally on the species in its domain, sometimes symbiotically (positive SI), sometimes parasitically (negative SI). Again, these attributes should not be treated as ethical description, although negative superintelligences are in general described as being more sinister.

Great post. I really got into, um, it. Now can you explain, in 500 words or less, why Stephen King
included himself as a character
in The Dark Tower books, and why we shouldn't consider this the ultimate ego trip?
wait when did he do that.... It has been nearly a year since I read it and I plan to read it again very soon but i dont remember that at ALL
