I've been listening to Stephen King 10+ hours a day lately so I'd be all over this. Pick a book and I'll re-read it special (all I have left to read for the first time are Dolores Clairbourne, Cujo, The Regulators, and End of Watch. . . .so dang sad).

Actually, I'd really just be happy with someone picking what I listen to for a day or two -- never-mind the chance to wax poetic or something.

So I have two credits with Audible...and can't decide what to get. Here are the SK audiobooks available that I don't currently have:

Tommyknockers
Insomnia
Four Past Midnight
Green Mile
Christine
Rose Madder
Dreamcatcher
Gerald's Game
Firestarter
Regulators
Eyes of the Dragon
Misery
Dark Half
Cujo
Thinner
Roadwork
Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon
Joyland
The Running Man
Blaze
On Writing

I understand that some of these have reported audio issues. Cut words or sentences at end of chapters, editing problems, etc. Any thoughts?

I really liked Holton Graham's narration of Christine. He does a fantastic job of doing different voices without it sounding hackneyed. Sensational audiobook, I thought.

If I were to listen to two from that list again right now I'd go for Insomnia and Joyland or The Dark Half myself -- but Dreamcatcher is pretty solid and Christine is one of King's few proper 'scary stories' in my mind, but that might just be because I read it when I was in 3rd grade.

The only thing I might say if I were to try to strike any from the running is Eyes of the Dragon always struck me as having the Man in the Iron Mask levels of conceit in its plot -- with a not dissimilar thrust to that narrative. And Rose Madder I know I have read but I can only remember one scene from the entire book, so it's clearly not memorable :p.

Thanks for weighing in. I went with Christine and Dreamcatcher. Insomnia was definitely at the top, so I might get that one next. But Dead Zone is finally coming out next month so I might have to get that first.

If I remember correctly, "Thinner" is read by Joe Mantegna, he does a good job and it's a helluva good book.

Reading IT,and I'm trying to delegate an hour a day,to read it..(this is around midday)

I'm now finding that I can manage about 20 minutes to half hour a time,as I suddenly get really tired...

I used to read constantly,in my teen years, but at present,I've now hit 50 years old..
Is this an age thing? Or maybe a sleep overnight issue?

Just wondered,if any other members here, experience similar ?

Thanks

Are you sleeping well on a regular schedule? I've been thinking that now that the weather is getting a bit warmer, I need to get outside more and go for long walks.
