"You do realize," Sarah told her guests as she served them the most delicious cake, the recipe of which she received from her friend, Betty Crocker, "that Betty was an off-the-chain crack whore and had a huge fling with Uncle Ben."

Scandalous!

New Prompt:

Jimmy Boy, who was new to The Territories, had refused to help load the hay truck with invisible watermelons. He thought it was dumb. Then again, he was hiding in the fog from the invisible pack of Dobermans.

Just a little note of interest to maybe someone, Writer's Digest used to do (and still may) a contest each month where they would post a picture prompt and you sent in your piece. Very similar to this. Only so many words to convey what the picture was saying.

I sent one in every month for about a year and never did win, place or show, but boy -- I had great fun. And yes, mine always went to the absurd, quirky, funny stuff. Obviously the powers-that-be at Writers Digest had no sense of humor because they were good. I don't give myself much credit most times, but those entries were good.

Hey, I remember that! I never mailed in my entry but it was fun. Maybe from somewhere in the back of my brain is where this game sprouted.

They are a ton of fun. I don't play many games on this board at all. Every once in a while I will throw something into a game to help move it along, or to encourage people to participate when it's started by someone new -- but this game Doc, is right up my alley.

I'm trying very hard not to post every single time to give other people a chance. I could post something on every single picture!

I'm getting confused, is this the picture that needs captioned? Or is it Neesy's?

I think we need some clarification on how the game goes.
Neesy decided to skip mine because she found it too challenging, I guess. Mine is the next prompt. Quite simply (and to avoid confusion) if a player can't think of a reply to the given prompt then that player shouldn't reply. Someone will come along who will. I think this is customary in other game threads, anyway.

Hope this helps. :)
