You are in the General Discussion & Questions area of the Dark Tower Forum in the Novels section of the SKMB.
(Maybe this was too specific? :biggrin2: )

Was so busy trying to figure things out yesterday that I didn't notice this was posted in the Dark Tower forum so am going to move it over to the Website area in case there are comments Jordan needs to see for troubleshooting.

It had been a while since they'd done a major overhaul of the software but it does seem like things that were working just fine could have been left as they were. I think this version was supposed to be more user-friendly for mobile devices.
Not my mobile device. So bad I don't think I'll be visiting the upgraded SKMB from it. Probably just because I'm too cheap to get a newer iPhone. In full disclosure, though, mine is a Fred Flintstone hand-me-down. :)

I haven't even bothered trying it on my phone or iPad yet. Have never liked doing moderation with the phone and the iPad is only slightly better IMO. I suspect that has a lot more to do with my age than the abilities of the devices.

My problem is some of the functions to click on are not even displayed on my phone, now, like 'New Posts.' And it's just too much of a hassle now to get to what I want to see. Of course it does have a positive side... some might consider me being less on the SKMB a good thing. :)

DiO'Bolic - when you are on your phone do you see a menu on the left top - 3 vertical lines? I see it and when I click on it, I have all of the forum options, plus alerts and access to inbox and my profile.
I had to check. I see half a key-like image and half a box with three lines in it. The other half is covered with the info box about being new to the board. When I click on the key-like screen it takes me to the Log In screen. When I click the box with three lines it takes me to a Register screen. When I log in all I see is the blue box with the SKMB logo (and nothing you can do on the blue box, and underneath the boxes about being new to the board, the Hot Topics times screen, the closed times screen and then the different forums. Nowhere and at no time do I get the New Posts option displayed.

The new version feels a lot less user friendly, especially on the phone. The text in the reply window is not visible while I'm typing it. It's more difficult to navigate and is fairly frustrating to use. Seems like it requires a lot more work to make posts.

Ahh..while much has changed and it seems like a strange new world, Deebo and Ms Mod jousting at each other seems like a nice comforting bit of home.. :)

There are reliable and definite constants in the universe we can all count on. There’s the fine-structure constant, the strong coupling constant, Einstein’s gravitational constant, the cosmological constant, and the DiO’s right/Ms Mod's wrong constant. :heheh:

Fixed that for you.
