I want to see what Pennywise looked like in olden days before It decided to adopt the clown visage.
I read somewhere that a scene was shot or was at least written for the script of Pennywise on a hunt during colonial times. It had no makeup, no obvious facade. It looked like a normal man, just Bill dressed in the times clothing. A woman's house is on fire and that Derry, or the settlement there, is running frantic. She's holding her child and Penny requires it for a sacrifice. I'd like to see that, or something similar. Also, It terrorizing the original town charter. Taking on forms of bears, wolves, a Viking, dragons(they had Dragon lore back then right?). Integrating Itself in the town, and joining parties going on a hunt for the "bear" that killed someone. By it taking forms of the natural wildlife we wouldn't know if it was Penny or an actual animal. It's learning about obscure fears at this time, before it was wolves or bears, but now people are more complex with outside frights, like a Viking, Dragon, Fauns, Native Americans, really the possibilities are endless.
**Penny is about to kill someone and they see It shapeshift.
"You killed my brother! It was you!"
"No, that wasn't me. I do admire the job well done. [Clapping] Well done! Well done I must say!"
It was then that a clownish persona was born. Ends the kill and walks out into daylight as a resemblance of the Pennywise we saw in 2017.

***Disclaimer***
Not that we should be afraid of Native Americans, but I'm sure settlers were afraid of them. It was a theory of why the whole town went missing. I know that the Native American culture is deeply rooted before our European ways came about. People are afraid of what they don't know, and saw Native Americans as savages.

In the book's historic events he appears in clown garb. Even in the first image that Mike's father collected, a woodcut, he is depicted as a clown and there was a clown at the Bradley massacre.

Who knows maybe they will put some kind of new creative spin on Pennywise's origins in Chapter 2. There was a photo posted of Bill Skarsgard skin in all red that is believed to be from that missing colonial footage. But that could have maybe been blood all over him. He did have the yellow eyes.

I hope they bring in:

1. The Paul Bunyon Statue
2. Georgie's Appearance at the End
3. Mrs. Kersh
4. The Spider(I'm curious to see how they do with modern CGI)
I'm not sure exactly how much CGI work we're actually in for after watching an interview with the film's director in which he said he wanted to use a minimal amount of it at least in the first film.
Then again minimal CGI now adays means something completely different because they use it so much to cheat and honestly I don't see the point in doing a remake unless they make it as good as possible.

It will be interesting to see the final product next September. There wasn't a tremendous amount of CGI in the first half. But they do alot better now a days mixing what they film for CGI better than in the past. The biggest parts I say CGI will be employed is for the Spider and the Statue. But according to Wikipedia, a woman was cast to play The Spider(don't know how true it is, IMDB doesn't list this woman so take it with a grain of salt). So they might be mixing what they can do physically with the CGI like they did with the first. But it looks like right now they are filming what they can on Location, and will later be moving to the studio where they will build sets.

They may have cast a dancer or contortionist for the part maybe.

Good thought. I guess it would be devil/hell/monster stuff before clowns came into being. Before religion, it would probably be deadly animal attacks or disease, assuming he can only use what exists in other peoples minds. There may be a universal monster mind image in our subconscious, that would frighten all of us equally, regardless of time and/or space.

I think that the deleted scene from the first half from the 1600s will be included.

It would be neat if his shape-shifting abilities gave rise to some of the popular urban legends such as witches, Sasquatch, the Wendigo, lycanthropes, etc.

Mrs. Kersh of course, but I would like to see the giant Pennywise statue that Richie sees (though they might not do that as they didn't have Paul Bunyan come to life and attack Richie in the first one). But if theres one form they need to do right, it's the dog that attacks the guy in the asylum Henry's at.

Hey, watch it buster! Witches are not urban legends. ;;D
I agree, neither is Sasquatch, I know because I have a picture of him, you can tell it's real as the camera quality remains constant with other photos of him. Good thing I was wearing my tin foil-hat during the encounter.

And for those who say "that's just a low quality image of a deer" let me say, that's just what THEY want you to believe.
