Bought a really pretty piece of pottery at the thrift store for my mom for $2.00. Thought I recognized the stamp on the bottom and googled it when I got home. It was made by one of the most renowned pottery artists in the state and similar pieces are currently selling for around $50+. This one was dated almost 20 years ago, so maybe is worth even more (and is in perfect condition). I was so blessed to find it for her. :smile2:
...these "stumble across" finds are always neat...for everybody!......

A prior nasty storm took out a support and damaged the other for a small covered entrance to the front door. Will have to either fix or replace them and secure them to the cement. Going the easy route and picked up a nice cement nail driver that uses .22 caliber blanks to drive them in.

Sunny... don't even think about it. :)

Such a nice find, she will love it! :joyous:

I've been bad again... I swear I don't have a shopping problem, but jewellery is my weakness. Okay, one of my weaknesses. :topsy_turvy: I just ordered these lovely treasures:

Told you I would be hogging this thread... I'm at it again... I bought a sh*tload of autumn decorations. :chuncky::bat: It's August, so it's starting to come in everywhere! Every year I buy way too many toadstools, trees, owls and other forest/autumn related things. However, my house is pretty much forest/autumn/halloween/fairytale themed, so I'll use that as an excuse. :peaceful:

Furthermore, I found a T-shirt designing website and had this made. I will wear it with pride. :welcoming:

And lastly, these two awesome pouffes are coming my way!

Had to tear out my cucumber plants form the garden. So much rain had made all the cukes turn yellow and the plants now look done. Picked up a pack of this to plant, basically because it looked interesting, although I have no idea what it is. I figure it would be good on salads... and only 15 days until I could start grazing. I dunno... maybe I should just go out to the street and pick some weeds and throw a little Italian dressing on it.

Very nice! I have bought some really nice jewellery for gifts at thrift stores. The First Nations Thrift store in West Kelowna has the best selection. Recently at that store I bought 2 new wristwatches for $2.50 each. Never worn. Just had to put a battery in them.

I thought of Sundrop as I was reading this, guess I wasn't the only one. She could do a lot of damage with that thing
