sigh. Thanks for the heads up so I can exercise patience and vein opening.

I found my e-mail and you're not going to like it. Actually, it's good news because we are getting an upgrade but it's going to take some time:)

You’re receiving this email because you pre-ordered FLIGHT OR FRIGHT edited by Stephen King and Bev Vincent and we want to share a VERY important production update with you:
We have some excellent news for collectors who ordered the trade hardcover. The book is already headed for a second printing and the pub date isn’t until September 4th! If you’ve already ordered directly from us, you are guaranteed a First Printing, First Edition. Orders placed after this point may end up receiving second printings.
In addition, as our way of saying THANK YOU for ordering directly from us, we’ll begin shipping all of the direct preorders of the trade hardcover edition we have as of today (July 18) in *mid-August,* two weeks before the official pub date. That means you’ll be able to read this book before any other readers in the world!
Finally, we can now share some production news on the Gift Edition and Lettered Edition for the collectors who selected those editions, which will see print next year for reasons that will become apparent with this update:
We're upgrading the book’s design to TWO COLOR interior printing on a larger trim size, which wasn’t promised originally.
We’re also thrilled to report that while we originally planned on six or seven exclusive illustrations from Cortney Skinner that won’t appear in the trade hardcover edition, he's been working day and night to deliver 17 (!) pieces of artwork instead, one for each story!
Also, as we have mentioned before, the Lettered Edition will be housed in a custom-made box unlike anything we've ever produced for ANY book ever before. In fact, it's been a very long time since any publisher has attempted this style of case for a Stephen King book. We'll let you know how things work out!
PLEASE NOTE: if you ordered the Gift Edition or Lettered Edition, your order is already locked in and there will be NO price increase for these additional special features.
Thank you, as always, for your continuing support and patience!

Is the oversized slipcased version shipping too? I think that's the one I ordered.
I think the special edition is going to be a little longer. I think they are only shipping the regular edition right now.
I just checked my order and it's the regular trade hardcover edition. Still don't have it yet....;)

That's always a problem with getting a special edition of a new release. I usually buy the e-book in these cases where I want to read it right away. It would be nice if the people buying special editions didn't have to pay full price for an e-book version but the e-book publishers probably don't see it that way. :)
