Thank you Spidey!

All the books he wrote last 40 years.
This is something new..
Not real Stephen!

I understand he’s trying to help his son Owen.. but..this is just awful.
I never thought I say this about Stephens book!
Shocked!
Welcome to the Board!

As Spidey mentioned, not every book is going to be to every reader's taste and this one very obviously didn't appeal to you but there are others who liked it just fine.

Yeah..
Just a BIG disappointment after reading he’s books last 35 years.

He really should (or Owen should) read his own book “On Writing”.

I hear you. There are so many people who think Joyland is one of his best books, but while I liked it okay, I just don't get that excited about it. It's not a terrible book but it's just not to my personal taste.

....Hiya Cool!....say hello to your brother Deadpool for me....you are a bit overboard in your criticism of the novel, but I will agree it’s not one of my favorites either-though I did enjoy it...

Well, my mother language is not English.
That’s why I may sound a bit too aggressive..

But really, this book is not “real Stephen”.
More like Owen’s book that Stephen (tried) to edit.

I can't speak for SK but based on the interviews they gave, I don't think he's "trying to help his son" as you said...Owen has already proven he can stand on his own with some fine writing to back it up. I think they just wanted to work together on a project. Most parents would love to work on something with their kids some day.

Yeah, like they both can play saxophone like Clarence Clemons.
