Just finished 11/22/63 two weeks ago. Have been digesting and reflecting on it. Really like it a lot.

I'm looking to get my hands on the next great story and wanted to solicit recommendations. My past reads are Carrie, Salem's Lot, The Shining, The Stand (full version), Misery, Doctor Sleep, Revival and On Writing.

Have been thinking of The Dead Zone or Under The Dome as I understand these are some of Stephen's personal favorites.

Appreciate any and all thoughts.

Thanks!

Jim

I enjoyed 11/22/63 as well. Maybe try Joyland or Duma Key?

I would love to be able to read 11/22/63 for the first time again!!!!!!! I loved Insomnia (glad I waited till I was older to read it) two old people featured in the lead would never have interested me in my 20's.

Listen to The Gunslinger on Audio and then READ the next 7.5 books!!!. Took me years to get this started and during the 2nd book I was completely hooked.

Joyland! Loved it.
Dolores Claiborne Loved it.

Heck I might as well just list all his books here.

Just finished Duma Key today. So very touching! I’m a South Florida native and have been in some of the areas the book takes place in (including a place that Big Pink reminded me of). I loved Duma Key. I love the injections of philosophy throughout. Experiencing the physical and emotional pain with Edgar and coming out a survivor was healing for my soul.Thank you all for the recommendation. I now have “The Outsider” staring over at me and has been waiting patiently on deck to get cracked open. I may make the one hour drive north to walk Casey Key beach and contemplate and fully digest Duma first.

I'm looking forward to the new one coming out soon (The Institute). Glad you enjoyed Duma Key
