Please - could you send someone over on Clyde to the Hydro office? Our power went out and it’s minus 29 out there with the wind chill

I was on the phone with our neighbor who told me her husband’s oxygen might run out if the power doesn’t come back - wow

Could be worse - it could have happened in the evening or when I was in the midst of bread baking

Hmmm - maybe right now would be a good time to start a fire in our fireplace! :m_yesss:

I have come down with a bit of a stomach bug. I felt fine yesterday, until the afternoon. I was happily getting through chores. Then bam! I was sick. I do feel better now than I did last night but still a little wonky.

I went down to the basement, tried to make some kindling with an axe and managed to get a bit so now I have a roaring fire. Of course about 10 minutes into that the power suddenly came back on :applause:

It was nice to have a fire anyway!

Healing vibes for that stomach problem - do you have any ginger tea? Perhaps that will help ease it a bit :teapot:

I even took a pic of my fire!

Tamara is doing fine. I bought here a Cricut Air something or other 2 for Christmas, it's some sort of crafting machine, or laser, time machine...something.. I'm not sure which, anyway, I bought her this huge starter kit to go along with it. She has many plans and aspirations of making t-shirts for Aidan, and all kinds of projects. I saw her looking at one a few months ago while slogging thru a shopping day with her at JOANN fabric store so I typed in a note on my phone for later use, thinking of Christmas. She really seems to like it. She used to be a big time crafter before her previous relationship she says, so I'm hoping it'll be something she can enjoy again.

Hey Y'all, and Happy New Year!!! ♥
Sorry I've been mostly absent lately. I have been trying to check in and get caught up, and will eventually accomplish that goal.
So much is happening in Sunnyville lately. I've made the decision to leave my current salon in March. Things have become unbearable there, and three of us are leaving together, and two others have plans to leave as well. So I've been busy with planning, contacting clients, etc. Also playing taxi for the Munchkin is taking up soooo much time. She's working on getting in the driving hours, though. She drove us to the coast and back over the Christmas break, and only scared me the one time......took an off ramp at about 70 and didn't even act like she'd ever heard of brakes......but other than that, she's doing pretty well.

Enjoy the relative quiet while you can, I'll be back to my old chatty self before you know it! :biggrin2:
