Boys will be boys. Why is the batter so cranky ?
Childhood trauma. Cold mother; distant father.
They did have very good tools. My dad would only buy his tools from Montgomery Wards before they closed down many moons ago.I remember Montgomery Wards and they were awesome for tools. They went the way of the Kmart and Sears.
Well initially I think it may have been because the batter knew he was going to be thrown at as retaliation for a transgression by his team earlier in game...Why is the batter so cranky ?
Yours had a food court?I so wanted to be a check out girl at KMart when I grew up. I playeded check out counter all the time. That was back in the day when you had to key in the amount. Inventory was done the old fashioned way. Our KMart had the best food court - little smorgasbord - I'd beg to be allowed to go buy some mac and cheese and green jello with a dollop of cool whip. Go buy myself a new crochet needle and fancy yarn. I've been sad since the 80s about the decline of KMart.

They used to have these huge NFL team cups you could get Coca-Cola Icees in that were so good. I had just about every team.Kmart had the best turkey sub sandwiches !
This picture stirs some memories up for me! Looking at it makes me feel sure our KMart had one, too. It had to be when I was very small, though. Because around the time I was in 6th or 7th grade, they put a Little Caesar's in. I am going to have to ask my mom if I am remembering right.I so wanted to be a check out girl at KMart when I grew up. I playeded check out counter all the time. I don't ever remember a food court in our Kmart, but I do remember a Little Caesars. This picture stirs some memories up for me! Looking at it makes me feel sure our KMart had one, too. That KMart back home has been closed for a few years. Our KMart here just closed at Thanksgiving. Our Sears has been closed a few years, but it was not a full store, just limited appliances and tools.

I remember the food court, too. It always smelled of popcorn and rotisserie hotdogs. Sloshing fruit punch and lemonade machines hummed on the counter. People could smoke in public then and I remember old guys eating grilled sandwiches, and reading the paper- drinking coffee and smoking. Not a cell phone in sight. Kmart always had the best selection of Stephen King books.I don't ever remember a food court in our Kmart, but I do remember a Little Caesars.
It did - and I was allowed to go have my macaroni feast while my mom shopped. It was right by the yarn. It's how I came to love crocheting. Even though all I've been able to do is crochet a chain. It's soothing.Yours had a food court?
Yep. Sour balls, trinkets, and those gummy spiders you'd sling at the wall and it would crawl down. Funny how much magic a quarter can provide to a seven year old. They also had the best prize machines. I remember getting some great rings out of the machine to wear as little girl.
