Several reasons to be happy over the last week or so:

  1. Got my International Business Grade. It was "A"wesome!
  2. SwiftNiece is wicked smaaaht! She is being inducted into an honor society at her college next week. The ceremony is on her birthday. She's turning 21! That makes SwiftDog feel like long in the tooth dog. We will be taking her out for a celebratory / bday dinner afterwards.
  3. Got the word yesterday that my custom shop Charvel is finally finished!I It should arrive within the next week or so. Can't wait to get it. I ordered it back in August! I'll post some pics once I get it if anyone wants to see it.
Congrats to you and your niece. Many happy days with the Charvel. That was a long wait!

I've been off the internet for quite a bit of time.
Haven't been on Twitter, Facebook, or composed a rhyme.
Didn't Google, Snap a Chat, or check with Instagram...
Realized that, in the end, I didn't give a damn.

There was just one problem going "todash" and it's this;
Waking up and realizing just how much you miss
Being on this Message Board with folks as nice as you.
Now I'm back and happy and I hope your day is, too!

I just booked a 10 day trip to Ireland for June.
Going with my Mom and sister; we're over the moon.
Have a car and plan on staying at some B&Bs,
And I'm gonna buy the book by travel guide, Rick Steves.

Even though I've heard that all of Ireland is nice,
Thought I'd ask if anyone from here has some advice.
When in Rome, Ms.Mod's advice? "Gelato, every day."
(Marsha, I'm so glad I listened to you, by the way.)

If you've been to Ireland, what is it we must see?
Flying into Dublin; after that, our time is free.
Where to stay, or eat, or drink; the sites we shouldn't miss?
(You can skip the Blarney Stone, which we're too old to kiss.)

Have a fantastic trip! Sounds like it will be a lot of fun and I admire your courage driving there. I'd be afraid I'd cause an accident because I was on the wrong side of the road.

Maybe doowopgirl can give you some inside tips about places to visit.

Enjoy the trip. My cousin Peter owes me 50 Euro. Could you swing by Galway and pick it up for me? :)

Oh my gosh!!! My mom and a friend just booked an Ireland trip for next April! They are taking 11 days and it's all planned out - a tour type thing. I will have to let her know you are going. You may need to give her some tips! Can't wait to hear all about it. In rhyme! :biggrin2:

That was my first thought too!

Driving over there wouldn't be too bad (as long as Andy was doing the driving!)

Some day I hope to go over there too (Wow - I just used the word "too" three times in three sentences) :facepalm_smiley:

Finally! After four years without a supermarket in our community, one will finally open up in the middle of this month. We’ve had to travel on average one hour (half an hour there, and a half an hour back) to do our grocery shopping. The supermarket will also employ about 200 local workers. ** happy dance **

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas got married. I don't know how GoT ends, but this makes up for all she went through on that show. Poor girl.

He is a singer and she is Sansa on Game of Thrones. :)
Okay - thank you - I have never watched Game of Thrones - is he a good singer? I obviously need to get out more!
