Good book!!I'm reading Joe's Strange Weather. Liking it very much so far.
So Marsha, I checked out a couple of J.A. Jance e-books and Linwood Barclay books for my vacation based on this. I have already finished one of the Jance's, so I need to download a couple more before I leave.Being away from all the usual distractions has been good for my reading time. This past month I've read:
Exit Wounds and The A List by J.A. Jance
The Institute by Stephen King
A Noise Downstairs by Linwood Barclay
Started it yesterday and currently about halfway through Origin by Dan Brown. Started The Reckoning by John Grisham at the beginning of the month but it didn't grab me. Will save that one for when I'm back in AZ again and maybe then I'll have better luck with it.
Very cool! I hope you like them. I had a hard time putting down the Linwood Barclay book and I've enjoyed all of the J.A. Jance books I've read but not sure if it's because she sets the ones I've read in AZ and so it's almost like home territory. So Marsha, I checked out a couple of J.A. All opinions are welcome. Each reader takes from a book, by any author(s) differently. Likes/ dislikes/ blahhs.Ive been reading Sleeping Beauties since the last day of April. Im almost done with the book got about 90 pages left to go. I think Stephen and Owen dragged it on too much with the whole thing with the men trying to get Evie out of the prison etc. Plus the thing with the Other Side that the women were in i couldnt stand it. It was basically the women doing ok on the Other Side but it felt like The Other Side was also a place for those who died also thats my opinion
...that IS pretty sweet....DC-Comics- The Legend of Batman: Dark Victory Part 1 published in 2018 (parts 1-6 of the graphic novell that came out in 1999). I really like the front cover.

Glen Krisch is a good writer. Let us know what you think of this book. I hope it's good.I finished Skeleton Crew a couple nights ago. While there were a few stories I wasn't crazy about, there were several stories that ranged from good to great. Overall, I thought this was a great collection.
My favorites from this collection:
The Mist
The Reach
The Jaunt
Mrs. Todd's Shortcut
Gramma
The Raft
The Man Who Would Not Shake Hands
I tried to come up with a Top 5, but it was difficult to cut the list down. The Mist and The Reach are a step above the rest for me. Both stories are now high on my list of favorite King works.
I'm now reading Echoes of Violence by Glen Krisch. It's described as The Walking Dead meets Groundhog Day. Sounds like an awesome combo to me (to read about anyway)!
I definitely will. It's only 190 pages, so I should fly through it. The story takes place in southern Illinois, which is my neck of the woods. I thought that was pretty cool.Glen Krisch is a good writer. Let us know what you think of this book. I hope it's good.
