I found a bug on one of my limited edition books that was in my lawyer's bookcase and had to take each and every one of those books out of the bookcase and inspect them. The bug was actually inside one of the tray cases and I have no idea how it even got inside that! I found no other bugs but it sure shook me up.
I just can't imagion if either one of us lost our collection. I know I would have a break down.

Mine is going to be sold off when I retire. I'm not going to leave them to any family member because there's no one in the family that would appreciate them. I would want them to go to someone whom would love them and take care of them.

At this point Iam thinking mine may go to Mikey as he has just all of a sudden gotten a huge interest in King. He has read about 5 or 6 of his books so far. Is reading The Drawing of the Three right now.

Can you place any type of an insecticide tablet in the bookcases?

My living room has books all over as hubby is at work. But when he gets home,we will move bookcases and make sure everything is ok before putting everything back. But for my sanity I needed to check each and every book.
Can you place something like "damp rid" in the room to make sure there is no additional moisture ?

My heart dropped to my knees today. Panic attack. The guys come to put in our new heating/cooling unit. Anyhow, they turned the outside faucet it to clean where the old unit was. Damn the faucet broke sending water into my house and under my King cabinets in my dining room. Went rooming outside and told them to shut it off. Had to dry up the floor and instantly take all the books out. Thank Gan not one wet book. Thought my world was over.
I'm so glad your books didn't get wet!:cower:
