I liked the first episode. Good but not great.
My main complaint are the Boston accents the actors are attempting. Wicked bad (See what I did there?)
Is that was that was.... I was thinking it was maine or New Hampshire. I also live in western Canada so have no idea what these sound like
...I relate, but sometimes my mind pitchers is purty ugly....I have been watching the series and it is okay so far. I have read the book twice, so I am kinda partial to the images that I have in my head.
The book is really good!A friend recorded the show for me because it's only on Amazon Prime here
and he gets AMC (for whatever reason)
I don't know the book, liked the first episode, looking forward to see more.
Series varies from book, but am enjoying it. Ck your PMI own a beautiful copy of this book but have not read it so don't have any expectations. I'm coming to this as a clean slate having no idea what the story is even about. So, I'm enjoying it a lot and I see that Joe is the executive producer so I'm hoping that means he has greater control over what is presented. That it's being created exactly how he wants it to be.
An author's work is art. So it is my hope that what we are getting in the series is exactly what Joe wants us to see and to experience.
I own this edition of the book, signed by both author and artist and numbered. I wonder if it's worth anything? ha!
THat's okay if it varies from the book as long as it is still Joe's vision for us. As long as he has say in how it is presented.Series varies from book, but am enjoying it. Ck your PM

....they're all Hep Cats......I'm a bit surprised at the lackluster response to this show which is better than I expected. I wasn't a huge fan of the book but a lot of the concepts have translated well to this show. And I really like some of the actors who look like real people instead of Hollywood's version of how people look.
.....it is quite expensive on the secondary market.....beautiful copy.....I own a beautiful copy of this book but have not read it so don't have any expectations.
