but if my brain cells/synapses start firing again and it comes to me where it was taken, I'll pass it along.

I do remember where the picture was taken from - on the set of "Under the Dome" he was joking around with a couple of the actors (the one who played Barbie and a young boy).

Something about "sending an email" I think? I remember posting it on here on an earlier version of the Board.

Thanks for that flashback!

That supplement I've been taking for my brain seems to be working today (thank God)

p.s. It was actually a deleted user named Van Blaricum who first posted it (I posted it later somewhere else as a joke that went over another person's head if I recall correctly)

Wow - all these memories coming back - it seemed that it really WAS me that posted it first.

Maybe I should go lie down now - it's like a time capsule - I see some old members in the link that are bringing back memories.

I watched it. It was fun.
Fun? Are we talking about the same documentary?

I watched the documentary last night and found it a rather sad and morose bio. The whole thing seemed to center on the unhappy, troubling and melancholy journey Stephen King took to reach the top of his profession. I was thinking while watching it he must have had some happy times in his 50+ years of writing.

I didn't look at it that way. He was a product of his times. A lot of people struggled and failed. He struggled and triumphed. I focused on the triumph. It was fun to see him conquer the world from his tough beginnings. It was fun to see the little guy win!

I detest those glass half full people… they’re so damn optimistic. :)

The documentary was a downer.

Ken Burns: Country Music

There are 8 episodes. Most of them 2 hours each. And it is terrific. I am loving this.

While I enjoy many country/honky tonk/gospel (whatever you want to call all that country encompasses,) songs, it's not my go-to music. But, it reminds me so so much of my dad. And I loved my dad. So, this is like sitting with him, listening to him sing, tapping his toes.

I watched Amazing Grace tonight. It is Aretha Franklin recording a live album with Reverend James Cleveland in a church in 1972. It was a project that Aretha was planning on releasing in 1972 but wasn't happy with it so it stayed on the shelf until this year. The audio album was released and was a big hit in 1972 but the film wasn't released. I'm not sure what she wasn't happy about because it's amazing.

I'm having a hard time finding a documentary that interests me. So many to choose from, but nothing is really jumping out at me.

One Child Nation looks interesting. I haven't seen it yet but have heard it's good. I can't remember what streaming service it's on but I think it's amazon.

It's about the unintended consequences of China's decades long one child policy.

There is a documentary on Netflix right now that I cannot watch, there is no way I can watch, but I want to know about.

Has anyone here seen Don't F**k With Cats? It is a true crime and I know it is horrible. I think it is about videoing torturing and killing cats.

I just want to know if they caught the person at the end. Can someone please tell me that?

Still don't have Netflix so haven't watched it but here's a link to an article about the documentary that might help you decide.

BF is watching it, and he likes it. He does say it's kind of disturbing. He hasn't made it to the end yet, so I don't know.
