I know If It Bleeds will be published next year, but didn't Marsha mention another book coming down the pike? I think she said it was a novel and it was already written (maybe not revised?). Does anyone remember this conversation?
Also, King mentioned two other books while doing events around the country. He suggested, in one instance, another Dark Tower book would be on the way, and he recently (at the George R. R. Martin Q&A, I think) said he wanted to write a book or novella about Frannie's and Stu's journey back to Boulder, Colorado. Do you think this will be converted to the added ending he is writing for the new miniseries adaptation of The Stand? I'm not sure if King has even started The Dark Tower book but he sounded like he was eager to jump back into this world. Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

The different ending to THE STAND has come about in the screenplay for the Josh Boone adaptation.

I'd misunderstood about IF IT BLEEDS and had thought the Holly Gibney story was going to be a stand-alone book rather than part of the novella collection.

Honestly not sure what he's working on now other than the LISEY'S STORY project but haven't heard anything about THE DARK TOWER other than in interviews where he's said he loves going back to that world.

Ah, what I got from the news article is that it will be four different novellas, I thought the Holly one would be with the collection but I wouldn't be surprised otherwise, plus I kind of hope it is a longer novel. I remember a few years ago Stephen wrote the screenplay for the Cell adaption, in which the stories ending also changed, which I didn't love but definitely had a horror vibe to it. It makes me wonder if Stephen has any other screenplay adaptions of his won work! I was trying to think of a screenplay he did that was totally original, I was going to say Maximum Overdrive before I realised that that is actually based on his short story! Stephen has many talents!

Sorry, that was what I was saying in a backhanded way, i.e. the Holly story ended up becoming one of the four novellas in IF IT BLEEDS rather than a separate novel.

Sleepwalkers was written just for the film and has never been adapted as a novel. Rose Red was written just for the series and although other writers wrote tie-in books, Stephen hasn't written related books or short stories.

Interesting to know that it started as a novel then became a novella! I have never heard of Rose Red, i'll need to check it out. Sleepwalkers was pretty good.

Did he ever mention another book collab with Straub? I think most of his fans would love a follow up to Black House.

I know Stephen mentioned something about it back in 2016.
Yes, he's mentioned doing a third book with Peter and that Peter has a really good idea for the plot but they haven't been able to coordinate schedules.

Oh, ok, that clears up that. Thanks for breaking down the others. :)

Didn't he direct Max. OD as well? I'm pretty sure he did.
