This week I'm reading the new collection of short stories called Dark Tides, a Horror Anthology.
All stories are related to water. I'm four deep ( no pun intended). Good creepy tales, and well written.
All sales go to a charity for the victims of the Virginia Beach shooting on 5/31/19- which was incidentally my birthday.
The authors include Stephen King & Neil Gaiman, and a newer author from Missouri that I've been reading a lot of lately, William Aicher and lots of other cool writers.

It's published by Gestalt Media and I picked it up by crowd founding the publication. I recommend it.

Long days and pleasant nights.View attachment 32875

Diggin some Essential Captain America vol. 4. How the Cap and Falcon bromance began. When Cap went all Easy Rider and cycled across the USA (and can’t find it anywhere, man). Reunited with ‘Bucky’? And we find out how the fifties Cap went nuts and became a racist psycho. Plus, the Skull, Modoc, Batroc ze lepair, Spidey, etc. Over six hunnerd pages of far out Bronze Age Cap. Dig it.

i've been re-reading a few David Baldacci books over the past couple weeks, featuring the characters John Puller - army CID investigator who manages to run into some major situations, and the Camel Club series, featuring a whole collection of odd characters who keep getting wrapped up in serious political/spy intrigue.

Zero Day and The Forgotten featuring John Puller
The Camel Club, Stone Cold, Divine Justice and Hell's Corner featuring the Camel Club

I am reading The Prophet by Michael Koryta - pulled me right in immediately - I can't put it down.

I'd to read some of those suggested above - Dark Tides & Other Voices, Other Rooms (I always forget about Capote when I'm looking for something new to read).

osnafrank I loved UTD & Talisman so much - I wish I could read them again for the first time.

Last week I finished The Night Window which is the 5th and last book in Dean Koontz' Jane Hawk series. I think she is my favorite character of his, even over Odd Thomas. A satisfying end to the series.

Now i'm re-reading The All Soul's Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. This is the basis for the Discovery of Witches series that a few of us watched this summer. A good choice for this time of year.
do you know if regualr chain bookstores carry this book

Finally finished Go Set A Watchman. Meh. At bedtime I'm re-reading Neil Peart's first book of essays/diaries/trip notes, Far and Near. I'd forgotten what a great talent he has for bringing you along on his rides. Part adviser, part historian, part naturalist. Very entertaining and makes me want to travel more.
