A heads up:
Disney Warns New 'Star Wars' Movie May Cause Seizures for Those With Photosensitive Epilepsy. The Walt Disney Company has issued a warning that certain scenes in the newest film in the Star Wars series, The Rise of Skywalker, may cause seizures in moviegoers affected by photosensitive epilepsy, Deadline reported.
"Out of an abundance of caution," the statement read, "we recommend that you provide at your venue box office and online, and at other appropriate places where your customers will see it, a notice containing the following information: 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' contains several sequences with imagery and sustained flashing lights that may affect those who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or have other photosensitivities."

The corporate giant is in collaboration with the Epilepsy Foundation, a non-profit. In a press release published Friday, the Epilepsy Foundation thanked Disney for issuing its statement.
Thanks, but don't worry, I won't be going. :)

I'm ok neesy, got some aches and pains, trivial compared to the woes that have befallen some of our friends here. Hope you are doing ok :)
Doing alright.

We were watching the Masked Singer and
It turns out Seal was in the Leopard costume
Now they are down to three finalists.

Hope those aches and pains resolve soon!

Been rewatching Under the Dome, since it's been a while (2013-2015) since it aired and they're taking it off Netflix at the end of the month, so a quick non-stop rewatch.
Although highly controversial as an adaptation, as a show on its own it's not all that bad. The best moments always have to do with the dome itself - climate changes, so you suddenly have a winter episode, or the dome is shrinking. I think a problem is that a lot of dialogue is just unnecessary exposition: you see something happening and a moment later a character is telling the exact same thing to someone else. So you get the same information multiple times.
The tempo is always high though and it is never boring. Actually turning the tempo a little down, like a show like Walking Dead, may have been a good thing, because there would be more time for reflection. I think that may be the secret why Walking Dead is so popular. So many shows have constantly something new happening, but spend less time on how all those things affect the characters.

Still the show feels very King in terms of themes. There is alcoholism, paintings (like in Rose Madder or Duma Key), and the alternate reality/mixed memories stuff that goes on at the beginning of season 3 reminds me of Roland/Jake in The Dark Tower.

I'm now into season 3. I recall it got worse here, so we'll see. So far, it's been better than I remembered.

I remember liking the first season or so but I remember the third season being a train wreck.

It kind of is. The tone of the show completely changes and essentially it becomes The Tommyknockers. Weirdly they even cast Marg Helgenberger in what is basically the same role. Just like Bobbi Anderson, her character Christine becomes the leader of the townspeople who are being taken over by the aliens. It's strange that she will play the same role over in two different King adaptations. Bobbi and Christine become the leader in both cases, because they were the first to come into contact with the aliens.
And just like in Tommyknockers some people can withstand being taken over and stay themselves (in this case by feeling strong emotion). So it becomes this constant, repetitive game of who is still him/herself and who is taken over.
Only three more episodes, so I'm finishing it again. But, yeah, it's very repetitive 'fight against the take-over' stuff.

Every time I start to think about "cutting the cord" on my tv, things like The Outsider come up. Outlander starts again next month, on Starz. I know I can keep those channels as add ons.

Tried comparing packages this morning, to determine the channels we watch the most, and it is as clear as mud. I think they do that on purpose.

Take a look at something like Hulu TV. They have live programing and local channels. I got a free trial a while back and almost switched to it but I could not get The Heat games so I have stayed with Comcast. The Hulu TV had everything that my comcast package had (except for The Heat) for quite a bit less money. Hulu offers add-ons for HBO and other streaming channels.

They offer a 7 day trial (or at least they did a couple months ago).

Outlander is a terrible representation of my country.
