Hi everybody, it's very nice to join you and be here. I'm a big fan of Stephen King, and I read and love his books for many, many years. Is there any chance to send a fan mail to Stephen King after all these years and maybe ask him for an autography? This would be very great! Thank you so much for your help. All the best, Diamond99

Welcome to the Board!

Stephen stopped doing autographs through the mail over a decade ago so that would not be possible. I'll send you his office address privately in case you'd still like to send a letter.

Marsha- I hope that you and Julie are using gloves when handling any types of mail or corrospondences. I heard on ABC World News that they think the virus may live for up to 19 days on surfaces!!!

Can't speak for Julie as I haven't worked in the office since January 2019. I haven't been wearing gloves when I'm just out and about but have thought about it. When I was at the grocery store last Friday I asked the lady at the check out counter how often they disinfected the keypad when I was using my debit card. She offered a wipe or suggested using a pen instead of my finger so pulled out the one in my purse. At least I knew who'd been touching that.

Forgot to add that I think there's a caveat to the time the virus lives on surfaces regarding the surface itself, i.e. how long it remains warm and also that the amount of detectable virus diminishes over that length of time so even though it's still there might not be an amount that would infect anyone. Found this article with more info about that.

I haven't been in the store for 2 weeks, but the 2 weeks before that, every time I got a wipe for my cart, I took an extra so when I got up to the cashier, I could wipe down the keypad and screen, plus the little counter it sits on.

I went and filled my car up today. Took Clorox wipes with me to wipe downt he touch screens, buttons and gas pump handle. I'm doing my part.

I tried doing that but the wipe dried out by the time I'd finished my shopping. It's a dry heat here. Does the wipe have to be wet to be effective?

Well, I would think something would be better than nothing. My wipe was also drying out, but still wet enough to do the job. (that's what somebody said ( he, she) same diff.)

Maybe take a couple wipes and fold them up together so they stay moist? Or at least have the chance of staying moist?

Will try that next time. They had a notice up to not take more than 2 at a time but that still works.

You're still using them in the store on their equipment. It's not like you're hoarding them for home. bwhahaha!

They put them out for the safety of their customers, and if you want to wipe down the keys and counter and screens and checker's face, you do it!

For sure, but there may have been others taking more than necessary and being wasteful. My cousin told me that her daughter had been working as a hostess at a restaurant before they shut them all down. They had a hand sanitizer dispenser for employees and she caught a customer filling up his bottle from it before scurrying away when he realized she saw him.
