Then there's Pokémon Sword and Shield, probably the first time I decided not to get the new game in a series I enjoy greatly, that game was so unfinished and filled to the brim with lies, no way was I spending $60 on it. Now, I'm not going to support some of the more extreme backlash by fans, like the death threats and harassment to the developers. But at the same time, it's not like they didn't constantly lie or tell half-truths about what the game was going to be like.
I remember being excited for Kirby Star Allies because Kirby is a game series I enjoy greatly, despite it being targeted at younger players. I don't expect Kirby games to be hard, I really don't, but I at least expect them to be worth my time. Star Allies was 6 hours long. 6 hours. Little to no side content, and it cost $60. That's one problem I have with AAA developers, they always have a set price for all their games instead of having some analysis on will the game be worth what people are playing. All the games I've put the most time into are within the $15-$40 price range. I still love Nintendo to death, they're my favorite company that does anything. But dear god, when they mess up, they mess up.
